From the Bible passage of today, the term "abundant life" comes from the Bible verse John 10:10b, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly". "More abundantly" means to have a superabundance of a thing. "Abundant life" refers to life in its abounding fullness of joy and strength for mind, body, and soul. "Abundant life" signifies a contrast to feelings of lack, emptiness, and dissatisfaction, and such feelings may motivate a person to seek the meaning of life and a change in their life.

Abundant life teaches that God is a good God who wants to bless people spiritually, physically, and economically. The teaching was championed by Oral Roberts in the United States after World 🌎 War 2, with his faith healing ministry having the most effect. These teachings came at a point when many equated poverty with spirituality, and sickness with God's discipline and punishment. He included the term Abundant Life in the name of many parts of his ministries, such as The Abundant Life television 📺 program, the Abundant Life magazine, the Abundant Life Prayer Group (ALPG), and the Abundant Life Building used as his world headquarters.

Today the thieves have masqueraded themselves as givers of life, but actually they are dispensers of destruction, disease, and death. The thief preoccupies man with a lot of activities and events of life to steal away abundant life from them. Abundant Life can only come from God. You🫵 won't find abundant life in:

1. Pleasure: I've heard people say that if only they could take a cruise, or retire in luxury, or have their fantasies fulfilled then they would be living. Many people have done these things yet they still remain empty.

2. Work: Eventually workaholics learn that the satisfaction of one job completed is short-lived. The truth of Scripture states, "Man is always working, never satisfied". Ecclesiastes 4:8

3. Possessions: "The one who loves money 💰 is never satisfied with money 💰, and whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with income. This too is futile." Ecclesiastes 5:10. Have you ever asked yourself, "Why is it that I have more money 💰 than I have ever had before and yet have less contentment?"

4. Position: Too often people think that if they receive a certain promotion, or reach a certain status, or live in a certain area then they would be happy. Interestingly, those people who have reached that position still have not found the secret of a fulfilling life.

5. Pursuits: Some people are deluded into thinking that if they stay busy enough and if their pace of life remains at an intense level then they will discover life. Yet all they find is stress, ulcers, and heart attacks. Beloved, all that I mentioned above are stealers of abundant life.

Receive grace to run to Jesus today for abundant life in Jesus Name 🙏.
